Dream

"I feed upon dreams."
Ok, that sounded a lot less scary in Korean.
It's a nice little line I once read in a web cartoon.

Perhaps people need more than just dreams to live. But would it be an exaggeration to say that dreams are an essential nutrient to human survival? Of course a person won't die just because he or she doesn't have a dream. But could one really say a life without a dream is living?

This dream doesn't necessarily have to be something so grand. It doesn't need to be something solid. Just having a goal, or something to look forward to, makes a difference into a person's life. You may goto sleep one night hoping that the world will be a better place tomorrow. You may even goto sleep hoping it will rain the next day. Big things and small things, they all add a little spark to your life. They may never happen. You may not even really care. But does that all really matter?

Some people tell me I'm a foolish dreamer. They tell me that I'm simply trying to find a comfortable space in mind and run away from reality. They tell me dreamers will never do anything to make a change. They tell me that dream alone has no power. Does it really?

Dreams are like a nice little push in life. It pushes people to move on forward. One step at a time. After awhile, that dream may disappear. But that's ok! All you need is another dream. Even if its the smallest, most meaningless dream in the world, it has the power to make u take another step. Each step you take, there's something to look forward to. The next step you take, you just might be able to grasp that dream!

So don't hesitate to have a dream. You may never get it but just having one makes a huge difference to your life.
